Product Compliance Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Product Compliance Counsel to shape compliance strategies for innovative digital products used worldwide. Based in Turkey and operating in a remote‑first environment, you will work at the intersection of law, technology, marketing, and product development to ensure our digital experiences meet evolving regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve product specifications, user journeys, monetisation models and digital features to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
• Support product compliance audits, incident‑response processes and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Assess marketing materials, advertising campaigns and promotional claims for alignment with consumer‑protection regulations and platform policies.
• Advise marketing teams on regional compliance requirements and assist with campaign reviews.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting digital products, AI governance, consumer protection, advertising and platform regulations.
• Communicate legal updates and help teams implement required operational changes.
• Track sanctions‑related regulatory changes and support internal sanctions compliance controls.
• Develop compliance awareness initiatives, including training materials, onboarding resources, playbooks and documentation.
• Review AI‑powered products, features and third‑party AI integrations to ensure legal compliance and responsible AI governance.

Required profile

• Law degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) with strong knowledge of digital product regulations.
• Deep understanding of consumer‑protection laws in the EU and the United States.
• Experience with marketing and advertising compliance across EU and US markets.
• Familiarity with digital legislation, technology regulations and AI governance frameworks.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑moving technology environment and provide practical business‑focused legal advice.
