Production Engineering Specialist

About the role

ABB is seeking a Production Engineering Specialist to optimise assembly methods, processes and equipment, helping industries run leaner and cleaner. You will work onsite, supporting production start‑up and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Optimise the production organisation’s assembly methods, processes and equipment to minimise labour hours while meeting quality, efficiency, cost and safety goals.
• Define the working‑phase sequence for new production processes, ensuring target product cost, equipment investment budget, cycle‑time, equipment performance and material usage.
• Identify improvement opportunities, lead projects and implement solutions within agreed time, quality and cost constraints.
• Ensure production processes comply with project targets, approve process designs and conduct final testing.
• Provide production support during internal/external start‑up, create action plans and train maintenance and production teams.
• Evaluate new process technologies for productivity, quality and cost reduction, lead testing activities and select external providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of production development experience.
• Excellent command of English and Turkish.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with SAP, AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Minitab is an asset.
• Strong ownership, project‑management and multi‑stakeholder management abilities.
