Project Manager - Banking Data Projects

About the role

OreData is a digital transformation and IT consulting firm with more than 10 years of experience delivering projects across the EMEA region. It is looking for a Project Manager to lead large-scale IT projects in the banking sector covering data governance, data quality, data management and regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate large-scale IT projects on data governance, data quality, data management and regulatory reporting within banking
• Coordinate data inventory, data standardization and data quality initiatives across projects and business units
• Oversee financial and critical data management, ensuring consistency, accuracy and compliance
• Oversee Data Warehouse projects, including data integration, data flows and data management processes
• Work with business units, IT teams and data teams to align on objectives, deliverables and timelines
• Handle project planning, progress tracking, status reporting, risk management, dependency management and follow-up
• Support the integration of data processes for regulatory reporting, finance and risk management
• Identify risks, resolve issues and keep projects aligned with data governance frameworks and business requirements

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional project management experience, preferably in banking and data-related projects
• Proven experience in data governance, data management and data quality initiatives
• Experience managing large IT projects, including planning, status tracking, risk and dependency management and stakeholder coordination
• Knowledge of banking finance and risk management processes, preferably in data-driven projects
• Familiarity with banking regulatory reporting; hands-on experience is an advantage
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to coordinate cross-functional teams
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project risks and issues

Preferred qualifications

• Previous project manager experience in banking projects involving Data Warehouse, data governance, finance, risk management or regulatory reporting
• Experience coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder projects between technical teams and business units
