Project Manager

About the role

ICON plc is a leading healthcare intelligence and clinical research organization seeking a Project Manager to lead and coordinate project activities across its clinical development programmes. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards while fostering collaboration among cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets and resource allocation.
• Lead cross‑functional teams, coordinate efforts and facilitate effective communication to meet project objectives.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
• Engage with stakeholders, manage expectations, provide regular updates and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
• Prepare and present project reports, status updates and performance metrics to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing projects from inception to completion, delivering results within scope, time and budget.
• Strong leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in project management, business or a related field preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

Required skills

• PMP or PRINCE2 certification (advantageous).
• Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
