Purchasing Associate – Electronics

About the role

Koç is looking for a Purchasing Associate to join its Purchasing Directorate in Sütlüce, Istanbul. The role covers the electronics product group and focuses on managing purchasing strategy, cost-down projects and supplier development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchasing strategy for specific material groups
• Work on cost-down projects to reach annual targets
• Carry out alternative supplier studies to extend the supply base
• Follow and report sector dynamics
• Follow all electronics-related projects of the product group under responsibility
• Take part in cost analysis and benchmark studies
• Join supplier development projects to improve supplier capabilities

Required profile

• Senior student or bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; a master's degree is a plus
• Experience in electronic components or related engineering fields
• Experience in 6 Sigma projects and vendor management; 6 Sigma belts are a plus
• Excellent verbal and written English
• Ability to follow market trends and new technologies, with outside-the-box thinking and an open mind to innovation
• Team player with initiative, empathy and openness to communication
