Purchasing Officer – Hotel Procurement

About the role

As a Purchasing Officer at the Porta Chiara Hotel, you will play a key part in ensuring that the hotel’s operations run smoothly by managing procurement, receiving and inventory processes. Your work will directly support the delivery of exceptional guest experiences through timely and accurate supply management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with procurement activities, place orders and monitor supplier performance.
• Oversee receiving operations, verify deliveries against purchase orders and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Process invoices, resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
• Conduct quality inspections of incoming goods to confirm compliance with specifications and standards.
• Collaborate with outlet managers to align purchases with operational needs.
• Support supplier negotiations to achieve competitive pricing and reliable delivery schedules.
• Train, schedule and supervise the receiving clerk, fostering a high‑performing team.
