Purchasing Specialist – Hotel Procurement

About the role

The Purchasing Specialist will support Rixos Tersane Istanbul by obtaining competitive quotations, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely procurement of goods and services needed for hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain at least three competitive quotations for hotel requirements and present comparisons to managers.
• Maintain accurate supplier information, price lists, and related records in the procurement system.
• Create, process, follow up, and allocate purchase orders using the purchasing system.
• Monitor purchase requests and orders to ensure timely delivery aligned with operational needs.
• Support supplier evaluation on price, quality, service standards, delivery times, and compliance.
• Prepare month‑end purchasing and account reports and provide feedback to managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Hospitality Management or related field.
• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain, preferably in hospitality or luxury hotels.
• Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and capable of handling multiple requests simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with purchasing/procurement ERP systems.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
