Purchasing Specialist

About the role

AGRANA Fruit, a global leader in fruit preparations, is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join its plant in Altınova, Yalova. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will manage both operational and strategic procurement activities for raw materials and related services.

Key responsibilities

• Process orders and manage safety stock levels in collaboration with the Warehouse Responsible.
• Monitor market trends, negotiate commercial terms with suppliers, and maintain supplier relationships.
• Coordinate claims, prepare reports, track KPIs, and ensure proper documentation flow.
• Establish agreements with shipping companies and oversee logistics for inbound and outbound shipments.

Required profile

• University degree in Food Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of purchasing experience, preferably in food ingredients.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and organization skills.
• Proactive team player willing to work in a fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel.
• Experience with SAP (preferred).
