Quality Assurance Executive (Non-Food/Near Food)

About the role

As a Quality Assurance Executive for non‑food and near‑food products at METRO Türkiye, you will ensure that both own‑brand and imported items meet legal, safety and quality standards. You will work closely with suppliers, internal categories and stores to protect product integrity and customer trust.

Key responsibilities

• Verify compliance of own‑brand and imported products with legal regulations, global quality standards and company expectations.
• Develop and execute risk‑based quality analysis and supplier audit plans.
• Conduct supplier audits covering food safety, product safety, social compliance and sustainability, and monitor certificate validity.
• Prepare product specifications, review labels, and manage non‑conformities identified during audits.
• Create supplier scorecards and communicate performance results to relevant categories.
• Handle customer complaints related to product safety and quality, request corrective actions, and inform stores.
• Support implementation of quality management systems such as IFS Wholesale and participate in special projects on safety, sustainability and quality.

Required profile

• Experience in quality assurance, food safety or product compliance within a retail or wholesale environment.
• Strong knowledge of legal regulations governing food and non‑food products.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments, supplier audits and manage corrective actions.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with suppliers, internal teams and stores.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems, specifically IFS Wholesale.
