Quality Control Manager – ASME Pressure Vessel Manufacturing

About the role

The company, a globally active manufacturer of pressure vessels, is looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead its ASME‑compliant quality system. The role involves overseeing certification, audits and inspection activities for vessels produced for oil & gas and EPC projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the ASME Quality Control Manual and ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII Div.1 & Div.2.
• Lead the ASME U/U2 stamp certification process, including renewals and coordination with Authorized Inspectors and Inspection Agencies.
• Plan, execute and supervise all in‑process and final inspections, including welding, heat treatment, dimensional checks and NDT.
• Manage Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), material traceability, and the preparation of Manufacturing Data Records.
• Direct the QC inspection team, conduct internal and external audits, and handle customer or third‑party audits.
• Drive non‑conformance reporting, root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy or a related discipline.
• 8–12 years of experience in pressure‑vessel manufacturing with hands‑on ASME Section VIII knowledge.
• Proven track record managing ASME U/U2 stamp certification.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

• Non‑Destructive Testing methods: RT, UT, MT, PT.
• Material standards such as SA/A105 and SA516.
