Quality Engineer - Izmir Plant

About the role

The Izmir Plant team at Johnson Controls focuses on product quality, process stability and continuous improvement across production, suppliers and customer feedback. As Quality Engineer you support day-to-day quality performance, quality system execution and timely problem solving in a manufacturing environment, working closely with Operations, suppliers and customer-facing stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor quality key measures and lead incoming quality activities, improving CDTR, DPU and warranty performance
• Act as the main quality contact for Operations on customer issues, quality concerns and containment actions
• Support ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 systems, including audits and control plans
• Assess and approve supplier PPAPs after SOP, resolve supplier issues and run LPA, process and Gemba audits
• Analyze production defects, support root-cause analysis and maintain control plans
• Update Quality Gates and control points, improve ODS and inspection checklists, and use complaints and field service data to strengthen inspection methods
• Prepare training content, KPI reports and audit follow-ups, support warranty follow-up and PFMEA workgroups
• Use 8D, A3, Lean Six Sigma and data analysis to drive continuous improvement

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; preferred Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of quality control or quality engineering experience in manufacturing
• Excellent written and spoken English and strong communication skills
• ISO 9001:2015 certified internal auditor
• Preferred: HVAC industry experience, welding and brazing experience, ISO 14001/45001 or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, SAP and Minitab experience
