Risk & Controls Manager

About the role

WPP Media is seeking a Risk & Controls Manager to lead the risk and control function for its Turkey operations and support designated CSEE markets. You will be part of the EMEA Risk & Controls team, implementing local control frameworks, coordinating audit activities and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and monitor financial, operational and compliance controls in line with WPP Internal Control framework.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities for Turkey and CSEE markets, track remediation and ensure SOX, WPP IA compliance.
• Develop and run ongoing quality review and control monitoring programmes as a second line of defence.
• Promote a culture of ethics, anti‑bribery and compliance through training and advisory support.
• Identify improvement opportunities, leverage technology and standardise processes across the region.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in risk, controls, compliance, audit or related consulting.
• Strong analytical mindset, ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in Turkish and English.

Required skills

• Familiarity with IFRS, Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) and PCAOB requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
