Sales Executive – Wedding & Social Events

About the role

The Sales Executive for Wedding & Social Events will act as the primary point of contact for guests, using sales techniques to maximise revenue while preserving loyalty to the Marriott brand. You will handle reservations, up‑sell services, and manage guest requests throughout the event planning process.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve guest calls, requests, and problems by coordinating with relevant departments.
• Apply sales techniques to maximise revenue and up‑sell additional services.
• Provide complimentary gifts and rewards points to enhance guest loyalty.
• Process reservation requests, changes, cancellations, and Marriott Rewards redemptions via the hotel’s reservation system.
• Perform general office duties such as filing, emailing, typing, and faxing to support Sales & Marketing.
• Assist management in training and motivating staff, acting as a role model.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and adherence to company policies.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, and ensure high‑quality communication.
• Support team goals, monitor performance standards, and perform light physical tasks (lifting ≤10 lb).

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of related sales or hospitality experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work full‑time in an onsite environment.
