Senior Associate, Surgical Field Sales

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Associate to join its newly created Europe Surgical Medical Retina team. The role focuses on selling surgical ophthalmic products, building strong relationships with eye‑care professionals, and expanding access for retina patients across the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets for specific accounts or territories.
• Promote and sell Alcon surgical ophthalmic products through demonstrations and sales activities.
• Develop relationships with key opinion leaders and high‑volume users.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Execute a sales plan and strategy, visiting customers regularly.
• Participate in events and meetings to update customers on products, services, and pricing.
• Maintain a customer database and conduct competitive market analysis.
• Provide timely reports and accurate documentation of sales activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a commercial or scientific discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in ophthalmic sales.
• Strong market knowledge of ophthalmology, preferably with retina experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to build relationships with doctors.
