Senior Buyer - Manufacturing Procurement

About the role

The Senior Buyer reports directly to the Procurement Manager and manages procurement activities for the company's manufacturing operation in Izmir. The role ensures timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services while supporting business objectives related to quality, delivery and cost.

Key responsibilities

• Lead supplier selection, negotiations and contract management.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and global suppliers.
• Drive cost savings, supplier performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality and Logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards and procurement processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Solid procurement experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Preferred: experience in a multinational organization.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management and analytical skills.
• Preferred: knowledge of strategic sourcing and category management; experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
