Senior EHS Specialist – South East Region

About the role

Viessmann is seeking a Senior EHS Specialist to join its Istanbul office and support operations across the South East region. The role involves independent execution of environmental, health and safety initiatives, ensuring compliance and fostering a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on occupational health, safety and environmental compliance for projects and acquisitions.
• Collaborate with senior management and cross‑functional teams to drive optimal EHS performance.
• Support senior leadership in deploying EHS strategies and promote a shared safety responsibility.
• Coach managers on EHS responsibilities and the business benefits of robust programs.
• Lead investigations of workplace incidents, determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Identify EHS resource needs during project proposal phases.
• Manage pre‑qualification, deployment and safety performance of subcontractors.
• Design and deliver EHS training and development programs.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, ensuring timely closure of findings.
• Maintain internal EHS reporting systems and update policies, risk assessments and method statements.
• Create and distribute EHS communications in various formats.
• Support renewal of EHS certifications.
• Travel regularly to job sites and depots throughout the South East region.

Required profile

• Experienced EH&S generalist capable of working independently across multiple disciplines.
• Proven track record of developing training materials, maintaining documentation and improving EHS processes.
• Degree or NEBOSH International Diploma in EHS, Engineering or a related scientific/technical field.
