Senior Electronic Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Electronic Design Engineer to lead the creation of high‑performance embedded systems for smart‑city and public‑safety solutions. The role involves full‑cycle hardware development, from concept and schematic design to production validation and firmware integration.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop multilayer PCBs using Altium Designer, ensuring signal integrity for high‑speed and differential pair routing.
• Develop firmware, bootloaders, and board support packages for STM32 microcontrollers and NXP i.MX8M SoCs.
• Integrate and customize Linux distributions with the Yocto Project, configure kernels, and write custom drivers.
• Implement and validate camera (CSI) and display (DSI) interfaces and other peripheral connections.
• Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and proof‑of‑concept projects for new product requests.
• Perform hardware debugging and validation using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and system teams to deliver optimized embedded solutions.
• Document schematics, PCB layouts, validation procedures, and test reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic design and embedded systems development.
• Fluent English with strong technical documentation and communication skills.

Required skills

• Altium Designer (high‑speed PCB design, impedance control, multilayer boards).
• STM32 microcontrollers (Cortex‑M, HAL drivers, peripheral programming).
• NXP i.MX8M SoCs, board bring‑up, low‑level driver integration.
• Embedded Linux, Yocto Project, kernel configuration, custom driver development.
• C/C++ firmware development and shell scripting.
• Communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, GPIO.
• Camera Serial Interface (CSI) and Display Serial Interface (DSI) integration.
• EMC/EMI compliance, signal‑integrity analysis, low‑voltage safety standards.
• Hardware debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
