Senior Finance Consultant

About the role

EY is looking for a Senior Consultant to join its Business Consulting – Finance team in Istanbul. Senior Consultants drive financial transformation, optimise processes and support clients' strategic decisions, leading work streams and managing client interactions for finance engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead finance work streams and formulate high-quality, sustainable solutions that improve clients' finance effectiveness and efficiency
• Improve work efficiency by refining processes, methodologies, tools and technologies
• Own parts of the final deliverables for clients
• Help prepare and run workshops, presentations and training at client sites and within the team
• Work with the project manager, escalating risks and issues with suggested preventive or mitigating actions
• Manage client interactions to strengthen client relationships
• Supervise and coach junior professionals
• Conduct market research, contribute to proposals and identify business opportunities on existing engagements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in management and strategy consulting, or in audit, financial controlling, financial reporting or related fields
• Able to work within transformation teams and travel domestically and internationally

Required skills

• Consultancy know-how and experience in business process design (an asset)
• Strong IFRS background (an asset)
• SAP solutions and project methodologies (a plus)
• Strong knowledge of MS Office programs
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, and high proficiency in written and spoken English
