Senior Java Developer

About the role

Tsys is looking for a Senior Java Developer in Istanbul who works through the software development life cycle, creating, designing, coding, debugging, maintaining, testing and validating applications. The role involves moderately complex code across multiple platforms, in collaboration with business and technology teams for internal and external client solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop moderately complex front-end and back-end code and deliver program specifications for several projects
• Analyze, modify and test complex code, write unit tests and provide application documentation
• Advise on testing, validation requirements and corrective measures for code deficiencies
• Take part in client-facing meetings, joint venture discussions and vendor partnership teams
• Advise leadership on business and infrastructure application standards, including PCI security compliance
• Develop, administer and recommend billable hours and resource estimates
• Assist with on-the-job training and advise software engineers

Required profile

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business / Management Information Systems or a related field
• Typically 6 years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing and analyzing data
• Advanced knowledge of two or more front-end and back-end languages or technologies, APIs, external services, relational and NoSQL databases
• Preferred: 8+ years of experience and experience with IBM Rational Tools
