Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join DHL Supply Chain’s legal team. The role supports the company’s extensive logistics and supply‑chain operations across multiple sectors, providing pragmatic legal advice and ensuring compliance with national and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate 3PL/4PL, warehousing, freight forwarding, bonded warehousing, customs clearance, e‑commerce and multimodal transportation agreements.
• Advise operational, sales, procurement and customer‑relations teams on contractual and regulatory matters.
• Manage disputes related to loss or damage of goods, delivery delays, service‑level breaches and insurance claims.
• Oversee compliance with Ministry of Transport, Health and Commerce licensing, permits and subcontractor due‑diligence.
• Handle corporate secretarial tasks, including MERSİS processes, internal approvals and holding‑structure governance.
• Support industrial‑relations issues, labour‑law matters and union negotiations.
• Ensure data‑protection compliance (KVKK & GDPR) for logistics‑related data flows.

Required profile

• Law degree from a reputable university in Turkey and an LL.M. (preferably in English) focused on Business, Contract or International Trade Law.
• Minimum 10 years of legal experience, ideally as in‑house counsel in logistics, supply‑chain or transportation.
• Strong expertise in contract logistics, sector‑specific litigation and precedents, and industrial‑relations matters.
• Experience with life‑science and health‑care regulations.
• In‑depth knowledge of national and international transportation regulations (CMR, TIR, INCOTERMS, FIATA, customs law).
• Familiarity with logistics‑specific real‑estate contracts and operational licensing.
• Proven ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly to senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Contract drafting and negotiation (3PL/4PL, warehousing, freight forwarding).
• Knowledge of CMR Convention, TIR regulations, INCOTERMS and FIATA standards.
• Customs law and international transportation regulations.
• Data‑protection compliance (KVKK, GDPR).
• Corporate secretarial procedures (MERSİS) and corporate governance.
• Litigation management and dispute resolution.
• Union negotiation and industrial‑relations expertise.
