Senior Legal Manager

About the role

Flormar is seeking a Senior Legal Manager to lead its legal function and drive innovation through AI adoption. The role combines strategic legal counsel with operational leadership for a fast‑moving FMCG, cosmetics and e‑commerce business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and coach a team of two Company Attorneys, defining role splits and workload allocation.
• Design the legal operating model, including request intake, prioritisation, service‑level expectations and escalation paths.
• Build self‑service tools such as standard templates, negotiation playbooks and approval matrices to minimise bottlenecks.
• Introduce and report simple legal‑function KPIs (contract turnaround time, matter volumes, dispute exposure, external spend vs budget) to the CFO.
• Champion AI adoption: deploy AI‑assisted tools for contract review, drafting, legal research, document summarisation and matter tracking.
• Set guardrails for responsible AI use, ensuring confidentiality, privilege protection and accuracy verification.
• Own external counsel management and legal spend optimisation.

Required profile

• Law degree from a reputable university and admission to the Bar in Turkey (LL.M. a plus).
• At least 9 years post‑qualification experience, including 2 years of managerial experience and 3 years of team management.
• Significant in‑house experience in FMCG, retail, cosmetics or e‑commerce; commercial law practice welcomed.
• Proven track record in commercial contracts, consumer/e‑commerce law, data protection (KVKK/GDPR) and competition law.
• Hands‑on experience with AI tools and a strong interest in building an AI‑enabled legal function.
• Experience with cross‑border contracting and subsidiary management.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, Istanbul with regular presence at the Gebze production facility and occasional international travel.
