Senior QA Engineer

About the role

BtcTurk | Teknoloji, a technology company in the financial services sector, is looking for a Senior QA Engineer. The role combines test automation across APIs, UIs and application performance with the use of AI-powered tools to speed up test script generation, coverage and debugging.

Key responsibilities

• Use various test automation approaches to test APIs, UIs and application performance across multiple platforms.
• Design, implement and maintain API and web UI test automation frameworks with modern tech stacks (Python, Java, JavaScript, Docker, mock APIs).
• Prepare and execute QA strategies and test plans aligned with project goals.
• Leverage AI-powered tools (e.g. Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT) to generate test scripts, optimise coverage and streamline debugging.
• Integrate AI-assisted testing solutions into existing automation frameworks and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.
• Review technical documents, challenge assumptions and give constructive feedback.
• Work closely with developers and product teams to identify risks early and improve testing efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Mathematics Engineering, MIS or equivalent experience (5+ years in related technical roles).
• Strong understanding of QA theory, methodologies and best practices.
• Good understanding of SDLC, Agile and modern CI/CD practices; adaptability to emerging AI technologies.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Automation frameworks: UI (Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Cucumber, Espresso), API (Postman/Newman, REST Assured) and performance (Locust, JMeter, k6)
• Generative AI tools for daily QA work, including prompt engineering and automated test case creation
• Version control (Git) and branching workflows
• SQL for database validation; awareness of UX/UI principles
