Sourcing Business Partner - Crushing

About the role

FLS is seeking an experienced Sourcing Business Partner to lead global sourcing initiatives for its Horizontal Mills product portfolio. The role will shape the future of mining by developing sourcing strategies that drive cost, quality and supply‑chain improvements across a worldwide business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for key commodity categories such as castings, forgings, fabricated components, hydraulics, gearboxes and motors.
• Drive cost‑optimisation initiatives through spend analysis, supplier consolidation, benchmarking, should‑cost modelling and strategic negotiations.
• Identify, evaluate, qualify and develop suppliers to ensure best‑in‑class quality, delivery, cost and risk management.
• Lead commercial negotiations, including long‑term agreements, pricing models and supplier performance improvements.
• Partner with Engineering, Product Line Management, Manufacturing, Operations and Quality teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
• Lead value‑engineering initiatives with suppliers to improve manufacturability, product performance and lifecycle cost.
• Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and foster collaborative relationships.
• Support New Product Introduction projects by ensuring sourcing readiness and supplier capability.
• Proactively manage supply‑chain risks related to commodity markets, logistics, geopolitical events and supplier capacity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or supply‑chain management within heavy industry, mining equipment, manufacturing or industrial technology.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in supplier negotiations, cost modelling, spend analysis and strategic sourcing.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience working in a global, cross‑functional organisation.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships across internal teams and supplier networks.
