Staff Mobile Engineer

About the role

AppNation is seeking a Staff Mobile Engineer to lead the development of its AI‑powered mobile products. The role blends hands‑on coding with technical leadership, working closely with engineers, product managers and cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, high‑performance mobile experiences used by millions.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the technical direction of mobile products while staying hands‑on.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, QA and platform teams to build and improve mobile experiences.
• Make architecture decisions and establish scalable engineering practices.
• Own the mobile development lifecycle from coding to App Store and Google Play releases.
• Build and enhance subscription‑based mobile experiences using modern iOS/Android technologies.
• Investigate and resolve complex product issues, improving performance, stability and user experience.
• Mentor mobile engineers through code reviews, technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to hiring, performance discussions and team growth.
• Improve development processes, tools and workflows in partnership with platform teams.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in native iOS development with Swift.
• Experience building and shipping production mobile applications across the full lifecycle.
• Hands‑on experience with StoreKit and subscription‑based apps.
• Proven ability to design scalable mobile architectures focused on performance and reliability.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and release management.
• Track record of collaborating with cross‑functional teams and mentoring engineers.
