Sustainability Auditor & Verifier – Field Based in Istanbul

About the role

BSI is looking for a Sustainability Auditor & Verifier to join its Turkey team. Based in Istanbul, you will travel nationally (and occasionally internationally) to audit and verify clients’ management systems and greenhouse‑gas emissions against international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent audits of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Verify GHG emissions in line with ISO 14064‑1 and related carbon‑border schemes.
• Prepare assessment reports, present findings and advise clients on improvement actions.
• Assess QHSE systems across metal, cement, fertilizer and hydrogen sectors, including CBAM compliance.
• Plan and manage your workload to maximise revenue‑generating activities while meeting travel requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of industrial experience in metal, chemical or cement production.
• Lead‑auditor training and/or third‑party auditing experience for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001.
• Third‑party verification experience for GHG schemes (e.g., ISO 14064‑1).
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities with advanced Excel skills.
• Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is a plus.
• Excellent time‑management, attention to detail and adaptability.
