Tax Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Specialist to ensure accurate, timely compliance with Turkish tax legislation and company policies. The role involves managing tax filings, identifying risks, and supporting key finance processes within a leading building‑materials company.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor changes in Turkish tax legislation and evaluate their impact on operations and financial results.
• Identify tax risks, implement controls, and follow up on mitigation actions.
• Prepare and submit VAT, Withholding Tax, Stamp Tax, Corporate Tax, and Advance Corporate Tax returns.
• Manage transfer pricing studies, documentation, and related analyses.
• Coordinate YMM processes, special‑purpose reports, and documentation for tax inspections and audits.
• Maintain communication with the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, Tax Inspection Board and other authorities.
• Oversee investment incentive processes and prepare tax reports for foreign shareholders or groups.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Public Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of tax and accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial or multinational environments.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish tax legislation, the Uniform Chart of Accounts and accounting principles.
• Experience working with tax advisors, YMMs and governmental tax inspections.
• Good command of English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• VAT, Withholding Tax, Stamp Tax, Corporate Tax and Advance Corporate Tax filing.
• Transfer pricing analysis and documentation.
• Investment incentive procedures.
• YMM (Year‑End Closing) processes.
• Advanced Excel skills; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
