Technical Artist - Mobile Games

About the role

Panteon is looking for Technical Artists who will build a solid bridge between art and technology in casual and mobile game development. You will work closely with the technical art, development and arts teams, and help turn artists' designs into playable game content while keeping performance budgets in mind.

Key responsibilities

• Manage asset integration: ensure 2D/3D assets, animations and UI elements are transferred into the game without technical issues.
• Work with the VFX team so effects are applied smoothly and within performance budgets.
• Integrate rendering solutions and shaders into projects and maintain technical standards.
• Develop flexible, scalable solutions that work across projects.
• Help artists overcome technical limitations by providing practical solutions.
• Take an active role in several projects within established system and architectural standards.

Required profile

• Enthusiasm for casual and mobile game development, entrepreneurial mindset and strong sense of ownership.
• Team player with a solid problem-solving approach.
• Follows generative AI tools and adapts them to workflows.
• Deep understanding of mobile platform limits (draw calls, polycount, overdraw).
• Basic drawing, asset preparation and 2D design competence.

Required skills

• Unity render pipeline (URP / SRP) and HLSL.
• 3D and UI VFX pipelines, including Shuriken and flexible shaders.
• Unity UI system and UI animations (Spine).
• 3D design and modeling in Blender.
• Photoshop and basic C# scripting.
• Git and similar source control tools.
