UN Women Internship – Programme & Operations Support

About the role

The internship offers a unique opportunity to work with UN Women’s Europe and Central Asia Regional Office, supporting programme implementation and operational functions while gaining insight into gender equality initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with UN Women staff on programme activities and operational tasks.
• Assist with administrative functions in regional and country offices as needed.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of how gender equality and women’s empowerment are promoted through UN Women programmes.
• Contribute to research, writing, and analytical work supporting the team’s objectives.

Required profile

• University degree in a relevant field or currently enrolled in a postgraduate programme (or final year of a bachelor’s degree).
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language is an advantage.
• Strong interest in gender issues and analytical writing skills.

Required skills

• Excellent research, writing, analytical, and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with basic design applications is a plus.
