VMI Specialist (Vendor Managed Inventory)

About the role

EGGER is seeking a VMI Specialist to join its Production Planning team at the Gebze plant. The role focuses on managing Vendor Managed Inventory processes, optimizing stock levels, and supporting cross‑functional planning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop VMI processes for assigned plants and product groups.
• Monitor and optimise inventory levels, material availability and service performance.
• Maintain and improve MRP parameters such as safety stock, reorder points and replenishment settings.
• Analyse demand patterns, forecasts, stock movements and planning exceptions.
• Coordinate cross‑company planning activities and support centralised planning concepts.
• Collaborate with PMM, Customer Service, Purchasing, Production Planning and Warehouse teams.
• Drive standardisation, process improvements and support VMI roll‑outs, training and best‑practice implementation.
• Create and monitor KPI reports related to inventory, availability, service levels and planning performance.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and digitalisation initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in planning, supply chain, logistics, purchasing or inventory management.
• Strong understanding of MRP, inventory management, supply planning and forecasting processes.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• SAP (MM, PP, EWM or related modules) – advantage.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
