Wind Turbine Technician

About the role

The Wind Turbine Technician is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of wind turbine assets in the field. You will work on‑site in challenging outdoor environments, ensuring equipment reliability and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, test, repair, and service wind turbine electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components.
• Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on pitch systems, variable‑speed controls, and frequency converters.
• Diagnose faults, develop corrective actions, and document all work in service reports.
• Report near‑miss incidents, manage hazardous waste segregation, and support environmental recycling initiatives.
• Implement OHS measures, conduct emergency preparedness, and halt work when quality‑impacting issues arise.
• Coordinate material procurement, replenish field supplies, and plan daily field schedules.
• Collaborate with technical teams, maintain accurate maintenance records, and provide support to other sites as needed.

Required profile

• EKAT (EÜAŞ) certification and GWO certifications (BST, ART, BTT).
• Degree in Renewable Energy (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in wind farm operation and maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and strong understanding of safety regulations.
• Ability to work outdoors in demanding conditions and communicate effectively in English.
