Procurement Category Specialist – Direct & Indirect

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Category Specialist for direct and indirect categories to join the CCI Türkiye Procurement team in Istanbul. The role supports procurement activities across Turkey, Iraq and Jordan, working closely with local and regional stakeholders to drive sourcing and purchasing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support procurement activities across Turkey, Iraq and Jordan, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Run tenders for managed categories, negotiate pricing and terms to meet annual value targets.
• Conduct supplier research, obtain quotes, evaluate samples and create preferred supplier lists.
• Ensure compliance with CCI policies, audit requirements and effective use of e‑procurement tools.
• Develop cost‑saving projects, manage agreements on locally agreed pricing and participate in central contracting.
• Monitor supplier performance, resolve quality or delivery issues and conduct periodic site visits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Social Sciences, Business Administration or Engineering.
• 1–3 years of purchasing or procurement experience.
• Advanced Excel skills; SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Turkish with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
