Yarn Quality Engineer

About the role

AKSA is seeking a Yarn Quality Engineer to join its Aksafil Yarn factory. You will lead the yarn quality laboratory, ensuring that production meets the highest standards and that customer feedback drives continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute the daily work plan for the yarn quality laboratory.
• Coordinate the laboratory team, overseeing sample preparation and analysis.
• Evaluate production sample analyses, monitor quality results, and initiate improvement actions.
• Track daily production and quality performance, analyse second‑quality rates, and generate reports.
• Investigate customer complaints, conduct root‑cause analyses, and manage corrective and preventive actions.
• Integrate customer feedback into product and process enhancements.
• Maintain up‑to‑date quality plans, work instructions, and quality management system practices.
• Collaborate with production and other departments to drive process optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering (preferred).
• At least 3 years of experience in yarn manufacturing facilities or yarn quality laboratories.
• Good command of English.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, planning and organisational abilities.
• Proactive team player with effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of short‑staple ring spinning processes.
• Knowledge of vortex spinning processes.
• Hands‑on experience with Uster quality testing equipment.
• Experience in quality control processes, laboratory testing and quality management systems.
