Accounting Agent

About the role

Expeditors is seeking an Accounting Agent in Istanbul to manage both accounts payable and receivable processes, supporting the Accounting Manager in delivering high‑quality financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Set up service provider accounts, receive, review, verify, approve and record payables, and ensure timely disbursements.
• Handle accounts receivable activities, including receipt processing, deposits, and credit management to keep customers within agreed terms.
• Book vendor invoices, match amounts in the proprietary A/P system, prepare payment schedules, and reconcile problem invoices.
• Maintain vendor relationships, file accounting documents, and support miscellaneous accounting projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field (advanced degree or certification preferred).
• Minimum two years of relevant experience in public accounting or industry.
• Strong analytical, organizational and detail‑oriented skills.
• Motivated self‑starter able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with financial query tools; Hyperion Financial Management is a plus.
