Accounting Manager

About the role

Constantia Flexibles International GmbH is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to take ownership of its accounting operations, strengthen compliance and internal controls, develop the accounting team and support ongoing improvements to Finance processes. The role works closely with local Finance, Controlling, Treasury, Operations and international stakeholders across Group Accounting, FBS and Division Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, completeness and integrity of financial records.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing in line with Turkish statutory requirements and Group reporting deadlines.
• Oversee accounting for sales, purchases, operating expenses, banking, imports, exports, foreign currency, fixed assets and period-end adjustments.
• Review balance sheet accounts and reconcile customer, supplier, intercompany and general ledger accounts.
• Ensure compliance with Turkish tax law, statutory requirements and company policies, including tax declarations and VAT refunds.
• Coordinate external audits, tax audits and certifications while maintaining strong internal controls.
• Lead, coach and develop the accounting team, plan workloads and support professional growth.
• Drive standardization, automation and continuous improvement across accounting and finance.
• Collaborate with local and international stakeholders, including Group Accounting, Division Finance and shared services.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• At least 8 years of accounting and finance experience, including 3 years in a managerial or team leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish statutory accounting, tax regulations and reporting.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, including closing, tax filings, VAT refunds and external audits.
• Experience managing, developing and motivating accounting teams.
• English working proficiency and ability to work with international stakeholders.
• Advantages: SMMM certification, multinational manufacturing experience and finance transformation exposure.
