Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager leads and manages the company's accounting operations in full compliance with Turkish Tax Legislation, VUK and IFRS standards, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls and coordination of audit processes. The position is based in Istanbul.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and maintain all day-to-day accounting operations in line with Turkish Accounting Standards, Tax Laws (VUK) and corporate governance policies.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing, preparing complete and accurate IFRS financial statements for global reporting.
• Ensure timely preparation, declaration and payment of corporate taxes, including Corporate Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax (Muhtasar), Advance Tax and transfer pricing documentation.
• Act as main contact for external auditors, tax inspectors and authorities during full-certification and statutory audits.
• Use SAP ERP at an advanced level to optimise workflows, automate processes and ensure data integrity across accounting modules.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or a related field, plus a CPA (SMMM) certification.
• At least 10 years of accounting and finance experience in a multinational corporate environment.
• Fluency in Turkish and English.
• Experience managing IFRS reporting, month-end and year-end closings, independent Big 4 audits and full-certification tax audits.
• Ability to adapt quickly to dynamic regulatory changes.

Required skills

• Advanced SAP ERP proficiency.
• E-transformation systems such as E-Invoice and E-Ledger.
• Sound working knowledge of Transfer Pricing and Double Taxation Treaties for cross-border transactions.
• Comprehensive expertise in Turkish Accounting Standards, Tax Law and VUK.
