Accounting Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accounting Specialist to join our Ankara office. The role involves managing daily financial transactions, preparing statements, and supporting audit and tax activities in line with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily accounting entries according to the Uniform Chart of Accounts.
• Process bank transactions, current accounts, checks, and promissory notes.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statutory statements.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Prepare tax declarations (VAT, stamp duty, withholding tax) when required.
• Compile and submit additional reports or statistical data to public or private institutions.
• Liaise with notary, trade registry, and tax offices, including site visits.
• Maintain proper filing and storage of all accounting records in compliance with legal requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Uniform Chart of Accounts and Turkish tax and social security legislation.
• Excellent analytical and reporting abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and disciplined work style.
• Effective team player with strong follow‑up skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP MM and SAP FI modules.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of English (preferred).
