Accounting Specialist

About the role

Wanhua Chemical, a global leader in the chemical industry, is seeking an Accounting Specialist to build and operate its local financial system in Turkey. The role involves handling general accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting in line with Turkish GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain legal accounting books in compliance with Turkish Commercial Code, Tax Procedure Law, and the Uniform Accounting Chart of Accounts.
• Record invoices, bank statements, and other accounting documents daily according to Turkish GAAP.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing entries and financial statements.
• Support external audits by providing required documentation and responding to queries.
• Handle all invoicing, tax, and SSI compliance matters, including preparation and filing of income tax, VAT, and other statutory taxes.
• Collaborate with headquarters to complete regular financial disclosures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Fluent English communication skills for daily calls and emails.
• Experience working in a multinational environment is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
