Application Specialist – Metalworking Solutions

About the role

Sandvik is looking for an Application Specialist to deliver optimal value to customers by aligning our Total Solutions Offer with their metalworking needs. You will act as the technical bridge between customers, distributors and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and solution delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide complete technical solutions and sales support to end‑customers and distributors in collaboration with Account Managers.
• Recommend products and services that match client business needs and contribute to account and customer value plans.
• Work closely with customers to improve production efficiency and productivity, analysing technical requirements and pain points.
• Develop and test application modules, including customer‑specific components.
• Lead projects from implementation to order closure.
• Deliver training on purchased features to external partners and customers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and after implementation.
• Coordinate interactions between technical, commercial, and distributor teams.
• Support sales pipeline management in Dynamics 365, providing accurate forecasts and targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience with cutting tools and machining applications in automotive, aerospace or general engineering.
• Strong knowledge of metal‑cutting manufacturing processes and their optimisation.
• Experience managing complex technical projects end‑to‑end.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Turkish.
• Completed mandatory military service (if applicable).
