Asylum Subject Matter Expert (Paralegal / Law Clerk)

About the role

aiylum is building an operating system that powers asylum casework for law firms. We partner with immigration attorneys to create, manage, and file asylum cases. We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert with a paralegal or law clerk background who can ensure our platform’s outputs are legally accurate for Turkish asylum cases.

Key responsibilities

• Review aiylum‑generated affidavits, forms, and case summaries for legal accuracy and compliance with US asylum procedures.
• Identify and flag workflow discrepancies between the platform and the actual process of Turkish asylum cases in USCIS or immigration court.
• Integrate practical knowledge of Turkish‑specific claim types into the product’s case‑building logic.
• Collaborate directly with the founding team to refine and improve the system’s case‑construction algorithms.

Required profile

• Professional experience in a Turkish immigration law firm as a paralegal, law clerk, or a similar role.
• Solid understanding of US asylum law and procedural requirements.
• Fluency in both Turkish and English.
• Comfort reviewing detailed legal documents and providing structured, actionable feedback.
