Backend Developer – Web Platform

About the role

MEAtec is looking for a Backend Developer to build and maintain the core services behind its Battery Passport and Battery Analytics platforms. You will design scalable, secure APIs and services using Node.js and AWS, working in an agile, fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new features and enhancements for the web platform and backend systems.
• Architect, implement, and maintain robust micro‑service APIs and server‑side logic.
• Collaborate with frontend, UX/UI, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end‑to‑end functionality.
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimise performance.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Manage and optimise AWS infrastructure for scalability, security and high availability.
• Maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (Tier 1 or Tier 2 universities preferred).
• 1‑3 years of production‑grade backend development experience with Node.js.
• Experience with micro‑service architecture and cloud environments.
