Backup Technology Consultant

About the role

GlassHouse supports customers on their digitalization journey with deep technical expertise and has offices in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, South Africa and Qatar. It is looking for a Backup Technology Consultant to join the Backup Consultancy Operations Team Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for enterprise data storage and backup environments as part of a 24/7 operations team.
• Support storage and backup infrastructure projects, including implementation, migration and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer requests remotely or on site when required.
• Handle installation, capacity planning, upgrades, version management, performance monitoring and incident management for storage and backup systems.
• Implement and maintain data protection and disaster recovery solutions.
• Support backup and restore operations across database and virtualization platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of IT experience, with hands-on experience in backup technologies.
• Fluent English.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; eager to learn new technologies.

Required skills

• Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Storage technologies such as RAID, disk-based deduplication and compression.
• Networking fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience in storage and server installations.
• Enterprise backup software and knowledge of backup and restore processes for databases and virtualization.
