Business Development Manager – Supply Chain

About the role

DHL Supply Chain is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across multiple industry sectors. You will identify strategic opportunities, lead complex sales cycles and shape customer‑centric solutions that align with our global logistics expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess and develop strategic business opportunities in line with company growth priorities.
• Conduct market, industry and competitor analyses to uncover emerging trends.
• Lead qualification of opportunities, evaluating commercial attractiveness, strategic fit and financial viability.
• Build and maintain relationships with prospective customers, key stakeholders and decision‑makers.
• Facilitate customer discovery meetings to understand business challenges and objectives.
• Develop pursuit strategies and coordinate opportunity plans throughout the business development lifecycle.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (Solution Design, Operations, Finance, IT, HR, Legal, Procurement) to create competitive solutions.
• Drive internal governance, risk assessment and approval processes during the sales cycle.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and commercial proposals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field (Master’s degree advantageous).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Business Development, Solution Design, Strategic Sales or Key Account Management within supply chain or logistics.
• Proven track record managing complex sales cycles and developing solution‑based opportunities.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to translate customer requirements into business opportunities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
