Buying Supervisor – Global Sourcing & Supply Chain

About the role

Mavi is seeking a Buying Supervisor to join its Global Sourcing & Supply Chain department. The role supports product development, manages supplier relationships, and ensures smooth production processes from design to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Research new production techniques and inform relevant departments about technological advancements.
• Conduct market research, meet potential suppliers, assess suitability, and share findings with the supervisor.
• Guide manufacturers on Mavi’s standards, monitor their adaptation, and provide support as needed.
• Collaborate with fabric and design teams at the start of collections to plan effectively and minimize pricing and production risks.
• Select manufacturers, ensure timely sample preparation with accurate pricing, and attend collection meetings with quality samples.
• Negotiate prices and delivery dates, finalize orders with open cost data, and hand over details to Production Follow‑up Teams.
• Monitor production processes through CPS and lead production follow‑up teams to ensure plans are executed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in production and/or textile purchasing, with senior‑level responsibilities.
• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong cost‑management, planning, follow‑up and organisational abilities.
• Proactive, result‑oriented, team player with demonstrated leadership experience.
