Chief Steward – Luxury Hotel Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Steward to lead stewarding operations at The Grand Tarabya Managed by Accor, a historic luxury hotel in Istanbul. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will ensure top‑level cleanliness, organization, and food safety across all back‑of‑house areas.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and develop the stewarding team, fostering accountability and teamwork.
• Oversee cleanliness and organization of kitchens, wash‑up areas, storage facilities and related spaces.
• Ensure timely supply of clean crockery, cutlery, glassware and utensils for all outlets and events.
• Maintain HACCP compliance, chemical‑handling procedures and all health‑safety regulations.
• Manage cleaning schedules, deep‑cleaning programmes and hygiene inspections.
• Monitor stock levels, control use of chemicals and cleaning materials, and support waste‑management and sustainability initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Chief Steward or senior stewarding leader in a luxury hotel or high‑volume hospitality operation.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety standards and HACCP requirements, with current certifications.
• Excellent planning, organizational and budgeting skills.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
