Cloud Operations Senior Specialist

About the role

Vodafone is seeking a Cloud Operations Senior Specialist to design, plan, and execute technology refresh and consolidation tasks for its cloud infrastructure, while ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud‑based systems and maintain cloud solutions following best practices.
• Manage technology refresh, consolidation, and migration projects, including partner ecosystem coordination.
• Monitor system performance, conduct capacity planning, apply patches, firmware, and security updates.
• Provide cloud support to customers, troubleshoot incidents, and participate in disaster‑recovery testing.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure operations.
• Strong command of English and a university degree in Electronic, Computer, Telecommunication, or Mathematics Engineering.
• Experience in large enterprise environments managing 200+ hypervisors.
• Completed military service (for male candidates).

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, Multi‑Cloud and Hybrid‑Cloud technologies.
• Proficiency with VMware products (vSphere, vCloud Director, NSX, vRealize Operations, Log Insight).
• Expertise in virtualization, storage, SAN, networking, and backup/replication tools (Veeam, Zerto, VCA).
• Strong scripting abilities in PowerShell or PowerCLI for automation and problem resolution.
