Commercial & Contract Chief

About the role

The Commercial & Contract Chief will lead all commercial and contractual activities for a Data Center project in Istanbul, ensuring compliance with contract terms and optimizing financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the main contract and all subcontract agreements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review, evaluate and process variation orders, claims and extensions of time.
• Prepare and maintain contractual correspondence with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Monitor subcontractor commercial performance, payments and contractual compliance.
• Coordinate with technical, procurement, planning and project teams on commercial matters.
• Identify contractual risks and opportunities and advise project management.
• Produce periodic commercial reports and support budget monitoring.
• Lead, supervise and develop the commercial and contract management team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in large‑scale construction projects, with at least 3 years in commercial and contract management.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, change management and FIDIC‑based contracts.
• Experience handling subcontract agreements, claims, variation orders and contractual correspondence.
• Proven ability in cost control, budget monitoring and commercial reporting.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking) and advanced MS Office skills.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
• Resides in Istanbul, preferably on the Asian side.
