Compliance Monitoring Specialist / Senior Specialist

About the role

SunExpress, a joint venture between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines founded in 1989, offers direct flights between Europe and Turkey and employs more than 4,800 people. It is looking for a Compliance Monitoring Specialist (or Senior Specialist) to act as an authorized auditor, monitoring the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform internal and external audits and inspections as an authorized auditor and monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Evaluate national and international regulations and support their integration into company processes.
• Prepare and review company manuals and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
• Support the recording, filing and, where applicable, distribution of incoming and outgoing compliance documents, and handle correspondence with authorities such as EASA and DGCAS.
• Support the effective implementation and maintenance of the Compliance Monitoring Management System.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of experience performing auditor functions in civil aviation, especially in operational departments (flight operations, crew training, ground operations); 2 years in compliance monitoring background preferred.
• University degree in aviation or industrial engineering.
• Formal training in AIR OPS, AIR CREW, ISO 9001 quality familiarization and auditor training, accepted by the authority.
• Good knowledge of English and Turkish, written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel, sometimes on short notice, including internationally.

Required skills

• Audits, inspections and investigations, with strong report writing.
• Familiarity with regulations such as AIR OPS, PART-FCL, IOSA, Turkish DGCA rules and ISO 9001.
• Proficiency in compliance management tools and software, and standard office applications such as MS Office.
• Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with good communication and teamwork skills.
