Contracts Manager

About the role

ACWA is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead the contractual and commercial management of a major energy project in Turkey. Working closely with the Project Director and multidisciplinary teams, you will own the administration of key agreements, focusing on EPC contract management, claims, variations, payments, risk mitigation, and project close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day contractual management of the EPC Contractor.
• Handle contractual obligations, notices, correspondence and deliverables.
• Review and assess variations, claims, extensions of time, prolongation costs and other entitlements.
• Evaluate contractor payment applications and monitor contractual milestones.
• Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks, including liquidated damages, warranties, securities and liabilities.
• Support negotiations and resolution of claims and disputes.
• Advise Project Director and Engineering, Construction, Finance, Legal and Project Controls teams on contractual matters.
• Manage contractual requirements through commissioning, testing, COD, hand‑over and final close‑out.

Required profile

• Degree in Law, Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years experience on large, complex Energy or Oil & Gas projects.
• At least 5 years EPC contract management experience, preferably from the Owner/Employer side.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC or similar international EPC contracts.
• Proven track record managing variations, claims, extensions of time, liquidated damages, payment applications and disputes.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Turkish.
