Controlling Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Controlling Accountant to join a leading global provider of advanced analytics and technology solutions for the life sciences industry. The role involves delivering high‑level accounting and financial controlling support in line with company procedures, international standards, and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and general accounting services following US GAAP, IFRS, local GAAP and Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements.
• Manage general accounting, cost management, tax, and accounts payable processes.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities and prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor business performance, budgets, forecasts and analyse variances.
• Maintain and review general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate transaction recording.
• Assist internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax regulations and statutory reporting.
• Collaborate with local and regional finance teams, business units and external consultants.
• Contribute to finance‑related projects, system implementations and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in accounting, tax, cost management, financial controlling or accounts payable.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with US GAAP, IFRS, local GAAP and Sarbanes‑Oxley preferred.
