Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen detection, response, and defensive security operations for our fintech platform. You will work with product and technology teams to build secure, scalable financial systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve our SIEM platform, including log source onboarding, correlation rules, alerting, and dashboards.
• Own end‑to‑end audit log management, ensuring tamper‑resistant collection, retention, and availability for regulatory and forensic needs.
• Lead incident response activities from detection through containment, eradication, and post‑incident review, and mature IR playbooks.
• Administer and tune core defensive tools such as EDR, email security, and endpoint protection.
• Configure, tune, and maintain WAF rulesets to protect web applications and APIs.
• Design and operate high‑availability log management using clustered technologies (e.g., Elastic/OpenSearch, Kafka).
• Mentor junior security engineers, reviewing work and sharing knowledge.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or security operations.
• Experience in fintech, banking or other regulated industries is a strong plus.
• Hands‑on experience managing SIEM platforms and audit logging at scale.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Turkish and English.
